PayPal

You've asked for it, and now you've got it. You can now pay with PayPal. It's mostly relevant to those who normally pay with PayPal, and for those with more limited access to credit or debt cards, especially in the east.

We've also got WeChat and Alipay on trial via our Freelancer licence, which seems to be working well. So you should expect these options as well shortly!

See the complete set of options on Checkout via our pricing page, for both individuals and companies.

Legacy Pose Stiffness

Opening a scene from Ragdoll 2.0, from around 2021, would yield some unnecessary attributes we used to have called "Pose Stiffness" and "Pose Damping". These have since been replace with Rotate Stiffness and will now be automatically upgraded when opening these scenes.

Backwards compatibility is fun. :)

Blender Update

A minor update, it does not encompass the Early Access of Ragdoll 4.0 (yet). But it does make Ragdoll 3.0 run perfectly fine on Blender 5.0, enjoy!

Enjoy, and find this new version available here.

Less Crashes

Sometimes, clicking a button or navigating the UI would cause a crash due to widgets being deleted twice. Computers don't like that and prefer to crash whatever application attempts to do it. And this includes Maya, if Maya is running a plug-in - such as Ragdoll - attempting to do it.

No more!

Questions and Answers

If you are into Instagram, we just ran this with commonly asked questions, have a look!

For those born before the millenia and without a login, here's what it looks like.

Rotation + Multi-select + Symmetry

Sometimes you'd get odd results when rotating multiple shapes when symmetry was enabled.

Figures, multiple-selection and symmetry doesn't go all that well together, so we've restored symmetry to only allow 1 selected object at a time.

Robust!

Next Up

Many more changes were incorporated, all of which are due soon. Maybe the next release, we shall see! The primary focus is still on phase 2, the standalone and web versions.
